Hello, I'm Katrina!

‘Knows her stuff and speaks her mind – expect no punches to be pulled!’ – Neil Amstrong.

That’s me! Messenger of truth.

Katrina Collier. 3-Time Book Author, 6-Continent Speaker, Facilitator

How it started…

Of course, I fell into recruitment back in 2003. Initially, working in a technical recruitment agency before joining a start-up as their recruiter. Later, I pivoted to teach sourcing and social recruiting.

Blogging, tweeting, and The #SocialRecruiting Show led to unexpected notoriety, and I’ve delivered workshops to start-ups, SMEs and corporates, with TA and recruiters worldwide.

Simultaneously, I have been invited to deliver keynote talks at the leading industry events on six continents. I have also been featured in Fortune, Forbes, Inc., Personnel Management, and more, and appeared on BBC World News, BBC Radio 4, and LBC.

How it’s going!

In 2018, revered business book publisher Kogan Page asked me if I would like to write a book! 🤯 Immediately, I knew it would be The Robot-Proof Recruiter, and it became a beloved book across the profession. Leading to Edition 2, which was published in 2022.

Wanting to make the case for TA and write a book for “the other side”, in 2024, Wiley published Reboot Hiring: The Key To Managers and Leaders Saving Time, Money and Hassle When Recruiting.

Called in a new direction, in 2025, Synergy Publishing published my memoir, The Damage of Words: A Memoir of Healing Self-Hate and Gaining Self-Mastery.

Today, I inspire recruiters and talent acquisition future-proof themselves and people to heal their emotional wounds and thrive.

Katrina’s keynote topic, ‘Can we Automate Being Human?’ at SourceCon, really brought life back into our industry! Thank you for bringing back the “human” part to HR. Katrina, you’re the real deal and so much more!

Katrina joined the ISG Talent Acquisition team quarterly meeting to facilitate a session on ‘building an outstanding candidate journey’ part of the TA Roadmap in 2020. She was super engaging, passionate and energetic throughout the session. She challenged the team of on all aspects of the candidate journey, which drove a lot of open discussion and an overall plan of enhancements, that were delivered. The team provided very positive feedback, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to other TA teams. Katrina is a true expert and great to partner with.
